Happiest of birthdays!!

Monday was my 27th birthday! We love birthdays in this family, so we choose to celebrate for the entire month! :)

On Friday the 10th, my husband, mom, and dad took me to the Murder Mystery Company in Nashville. It's housed inside the Old Spaghetti Factory. Most all of the guests dressed up in 20s garb!


The actors were wonderful. They pulled us aside for our mugshots before dinner. We were served a three course meal...salad, our choice of pasta, and ice cream for dessert.  It was all pretty delicious!

Throughout the meal, you were given money to bribe the other guests with! Mom and I used every opportunity to interrogate the other guests and actors in order to figure out "whodunit"! Dad predicted that it was number 3 within ten minutes.  After hours of acting and interrogating, would you like to guess who was right?! Yup, dad. He's watched a few too many movies, I think!!!

We were so excited to win! It was icing on the cake of a great night!

On Monday, we went to Shogun for our annual birthday celebration! The food was delicious as always, and the company was even better!!

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes and for celebrating with us! This year is going to be the best one yet!!

New Year's Resolutions - Update!

We have made an organization center! We've written down our meal plans, bills, fun events, and tagged the days we intend to work out!

So far so good on all the resolutions too!! We've even been losing a little weight around here. Liiiiiittle, but oh well! It's better than gaining! :)

Here's to sticking with it until it's not only a habit but a lifestyle.

It's That Time of Year Again!

New Year's resolutions...I bet you have an opinion. Everyone does. So what's yours?? Love 'em, hate 'em, make 'em, break 'em??

I'm gonna post mine here in an attempt to be held accountable! (Let's be honest, it might be a running list though.)

1. Quit cokes!
     (Already happening, and the headaches are much better. :) Thanks for asking!)

2. Eat healthier/exercise
     (Smaller portions, better choices. This may eventually turn into an actual diet, who knows. Shooting for 3x/week on exercise!)

3. Take vitamins each day.
     (So far a thumbs up!)

4. Stick to a reading plan for my Bible! I'd love to say daily, but I'm trying to be realistic....so 5 out of 7 days, maybe?!

5. Duh, blog more!!

I'm thinking this might be it for right now...five may be ludicrous, who knows! But here goes nothing. Accountability partners be warned: hold me to these!
